I can't remember when I first heard this, but it's a joke that's been occurring over time. It's about a priest, who's walking along the edge of a cliff, and suddenly his foot gives way and he slips over the cliff. He comes tumbling down, and it's quite a steep cliff, and half way down there's a shrub and he grabs hold of it, and it stops him falling right down to the bottom. He's dangling there, and suddenly these guys walking on the top of the cliff see this person dangling halfway down the cliff and they say to him, "Are you alright there? Do you need any help? Can we throw a rope down?" and he says "No, its ok, I'm all right". Anyway, they think he's rock climbing so they carry on. He's still dangling there and a helicopter comes along and they see this guy, dangling halfway down this cliff holing a shrub, and they come down and they shout to him, "Can we help you, do you need any assistance?" And he says "no, its ok, I'm all right." Anyway, they go away as well, they think he's rock climbing. Underneath, on the sea there's this ship going past, and they see this guy hanging halfway down this cliff, so they shout to his, "Do you need any help?" and he says, "No, I'm all right", so they go away as well. Suddenly, the bush that he's on gives way and he falls to the bottom of the cliff and dies. And he goes up to god, and he says to god, "God, I spent all my life praying to you, how come you didn't save me?" He says, "I sent two people to save you, I sent a helicopter to save you, I sent a ship to save you, what else do you want?" The moral behind this story is that you should appreciate what you've got.
