Yaqub Masih

yaqub masihYaqub Masihs' father was one of the first South Asian Pakistani migrants who came to Huddersfield in 1964. Yaqub came here ten years later with his mother in 1974 from village number 211 near Samundari in Faislabad. Yaqub and his family choose to settle in Birkby, Huddersfield as other people from their village had settled here.

As an Asian Christian Yaqub thought moving from Pakistan to England would be easier, but still faced issues within the church, which he overcame and is now an advisor to the Bishop of Wakefield. Yaqub's other vocations are financial advisor, Sunrise Radio Presenter and General Secretary of the U.K Asian Christian Fellowship.
