Mehboob Khan
Cllr Mehboob Khan, now 39 years of age is one of the second generation of Asians who grew up in Yorkshire. Born in Halifax hospital in 1969, Mehboobs' family moved to Huddersfield in 1984. Mehboobs' dad and uncles originally migrated to Huddersfield in the 1960s and Mehboob recalls his dad's shop in Huddersfield, going to Fartown High School and his childhood games with his cousins.
