Baldev Singh Gill and Piara Singh Salona are two of the first migrant Indians who set up the Indian Workers Association established in 1965 to fight for the rights of the local migrant communities in the 1960's. They continue there work there and now run a social group for the first generation of migrant Indians, who get together for cards and other social activities.
